The Finnish Association of Communication and Social Interaction, Prologos, strives to promote research and education in the fields of communication and social interaction. The association brings together researchers, teachers, other experts and students. Prologos was founded in 1989 and currently has approximately 200 members.
Prologos organises conferences and seminars, and collaborates with national and international organisations, universities, researchers and other experts. The association updates members regularly about the most recent research, events and publications in the field. Prologos is the publisher of Prologi – Journal of Communication and Social Interaction, and the publisher of the blog ProBlogi. Prologos produces a podcast series called Vuorotellen. In addition, Prologos awards annually an act of interaction that has made a difference in the world.
The former presidents of the association are Aino Sallinen, Maarit Valo, Maili Pörhölä, Leena Mikkola, Emma Kostiainen, Marko Siitonen, Pekka Isotalus and Anne Laajalahti.
Prologos is a member of The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV), Finnish Association for Scholarly Publishing and European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA).
